This place is always great. The food is good the service is quick I like everything I've ever had there (except not the cornbread salad because it's literally salad with cornbread in it and to me, that isn't cornbread salad lol). I really like the brisket!! The corn on the cob is a little spicy so don't order it for kids! I love the little pig crayons holders too! I think your family will enjoy it!! My school often gets catering from here as well and it's always really good!

A VERY ODD VISIT. FERN CREEK.
Dined with Marks on Labor Day. Sealed the deal when we received a special $5 off $25. We opted for that instead of free pie Monday.

Ordered and received drinks. Salads came pretty soon. When almost done with salads, waitress asks...who got the turkey?? Out of turkey. She complained that kitchen didn't tell her. My husband says u can see fighting in the kitchen.

All food finally comes. Three of us. Two on the coupon. One on the free pie nite. Two checks.
My son had to ask for second side. She gets it.

At end of meal, I guess female manager,  I've never seen, comes out to double check my coupon. Says she hadn't heard of it.

Son had to ask for free pie. Not mentioned to him. Yes, I know there is signage. But he's from out of town and wasn't familiar.

Checks given. My son hands check and cash to waitress. She says to wait a minute.

A very unusual nite. We eat there often, 1-2 times a month. Most every time, a manager comes to the table and we visit. This was odd. I must say, when I clearly present my coupon to the waitress, I don't expect to be double checked.

Oh, food good. Too many distractions.

    FIVE STAR CONSISTENTLY
    Middletown location.
Monday is FREE DESSERT nite. Buttermilk pie to die for, only to be outdone by the Buttermilk Crunch, adding ice cream to the mix. Other sundaes also available.
Our server, ABBY, was the bomb. She is always one step ahead of you!!
Great, reasonable priced entrees, best potato salad of any BBQ restaurant. Sweet potatoes, salads, onion straws, and on and on. So many choices!!!
Fast friendly service, hot food; so nice to have a pleasant dinner with consistent, professional servers and quality food!!
May looked packed in the parking lot, but they will get you in quickly!!
    See you there!!!

Just moved to Louisville from Huntsville.. Saw Mark's as I was moving into temp housing.... Sunday night picked it to go... and man I am I glad I did..

I had the pulled pork sandwich with corn and fries.... They put in two different BBQ sauces and I loved them both... By wife had the pulled pork salad .. she loved it as well...

So yes I am a fan and I look forward to eating there again...

We went here on a week night during the 502 Burger Week. The main seating area was almost full but the additional area was empty. It really doesn't justify having to wait more than 30 mins for a burger. I found the burger a bit dry. The chicken pasta salad was delicious though. The free buttermilk pie was flaky and extremely sweet. Loved the decor too.

Okay, I saved the worst for last. I docked a star for it too. I am not a fan of the crawling thing on my tray that I had to squish. It was like a teensy spider. Hope it doesn't happen again if and when I gather the courage to go back there.

We were just passing through town. A one nice day. I asked the front desk assistant for a few recommendations of places to eat in this is one of them. She said the barbecue here was really good I decided to check out the online menu and order ahead.

In the end we decided to go with the barbecue cheeseburger and chicken tenders meals. They said it would be about 20 minutes for pickup. Since the place was nearby, I waited about 10 minutes and then drove over. Once I reach the entrance, I was properly greeted by the Hostess who then directed me to the bar for my pickup order.

The place wasn't very busy so was a fairly quick pick up. The bartender ask me if I was there for pickup and I said yes. She brought over my order. She pulled out everything checked it, verified that it was correct, gave us all of the requested sauces and took payment. In and out without any problems.

Once back at the hotel we were able to enjoy our meal. I was surprised to find that the chicken tenders where actual pieces of sliced up chicken breast at with in battered and fried. Impressive. Inwas told that the chicken tenders were food and the BBQ Burger was not bad.

Overall not a bad choice. If I were around longer I probably would go back to try a few BBQ items and those fried pickles.
